DOCK LEVELER
The Beacon® Brand is a Dock Leveler supplier designed with hydraulic, manual or air power to adjust for the height differences between trailer truck bed and loading dock. The units bridge the gap and height difference between the loading dock and the truck trailer. They also compensate for the up and down float of the trailer bed during loading and unloading procedures. Hydraulic Dock Levelers are powered with a motor, pump and reservoir utilizing one or more hydraulic cylinders, controlled by a push button control station. Manual Dock Levelers are the most economical, the least amount of maintenance and are activated by pull chain release. Scissor Dock Lifts are utilized in a low dock applications, providing the largest service range of all levelers. These units are more commonly used at Post Offices, Hospitals and older buildings. Top of Dock and Low dock levelers are designed to be anchored on top of the dock. These units are primarily for low dock applications where a ramp is desired to be utilized with the leveler. The Edge of Dock Levelers are best suited for distribution and trucking terminals whereas the trailer bed and dock height is similar. Beacon® Brand Dock Leveler sizes are designed for demanding applications; each unit offers exceptional performance, reliability and safety as well as a low lifetime cost of ownership. |
