Forklift Extension - BFE series

Beacon® BFE Series

Forklift Extension provides added support necessary for lifting large or long objects with a fork truck. Units are available as loop style, pin style, round, triangular, and with rear spacers. Round and triangular styles are ideal for transporting oversized rolls of material. OSHA regulations stipulate that extensions can be no more than 150 percent of the fork length.

Product Details

  • Construction: These units feature welded steel construction and cast steel tips.
  • Size: The different models accommodate fork widths of 4", 5", or 6", fork heights up to 2" or 2-1/2", and have usable inside widths of 4-1/2", 5-1/2", or 6-1/2". These models come in a variety of lengths ranging from 48" to 120".
  • Color: Models have either a Beacon safety yellow or Beacon black powder coat finish. Hot dipped galvanized finishes and other specialty finishes are available; contact Beacon for details.
  • Weight: Units are available in a variety of weights ranging from 37 to 275 lbs.
  • Operation: Loop styles are used by inserting loop at end of fork and sliding it up at a 45 degree angle. It can then be laid down over fork. Pin styles are used by removing pin and either laying the unit over fork or driving fork truck into unit. Reinsert to secure.
  • Capacity: Maximum capacity per pair when evenly distributed is 4,000 lbs.
  • Options: An optional rear spacer (BFE-RS) is available for the Forklift Extension. To use, insert loop at end of fork and slide it up at 45 degrees. Unit is then laid over forks and can be used to load or push pallets two or three deep at back of trailer easily.
